OCPD Overcurrent Protection Device for Fire Pumps
The OCPD provides an upstream means of disconnecting the incoming power from electric fire pump controllers (FPC). By using the OCPD, the FPC can be fully isolated for additional site personnel safety. Installation of the OCPD mitigates any arc flash risk in the fire pump controller. The OCPD is acceptable for installation in the USA and is UL listed for fire pump service as per the requirements of NFPA 20 section 9.2.3.4.1 and NEC (NFPA 70) section 695.4(B)(2)(a)(2), along with the requirements for the alternative (Source 2) circuit NEC (NFPA 70) section 695.3(F)(2).
